Travis G. Black and Associates is an aggressive but cost efficient civil litigation firm that represents people with severe life changing injuries and wrongful death. Travis Black has never been able to accept or tolerate watching as insurance companies or corporations treat a client unfairly. The firm has tried numerous bench and jury trials and arbitrations throughout California. Travis graduated from Gerry Spence’s Trial Lawyers’ College and sits on the Warriors Board. He has found that being open to learning new techniques and ideas have allowed him to help resolve his client’s cases.

Travis Black is a retired police officer with the background and experience necessary to understand every aspect of his client’s traffic collisions.

Travis was born in Upland, California in 1951. He received his Bachelor of Science degree from the Brigham Young University, Provo Utah in 1974 and his Juris Doctorate degree from the Western State University College of Law in 1990.

Travis is a member of the State Bar of California. He is also a member of the Sacramento Bar Association, El Dorado Bar Association and served as Vice President of the El Dorado County Bar Association, and serves as a El Dorado County Judge Pro Tempore. He is also an active member of the California Consumer Attorney Association and American Trial Lawyers Association and Capital City Trial Lawyers Association.

Prior to becoming an attorney, Travis was employed a police officer for the City of Montclair and after retirement worked as a claims adjuster for Allstate Insurance. He also worked as a Special Investigator (SIU) for Mercury Insurance. He was a manager of Progressive Insurance Companies Special Investigation Unit and was in charge of handling fraudulent claims in 6 states.
